Old Dominion Barn Dance

A 50,000 watt radio station, WRVA located in Richmond, Virginia, aired the beginning of country music's national exposure. The Old Dominion Barn dance was the 3rd largest stage show in the nation following The Grand Ole Opry in Nashville Tennessee and The Wheeling Jamboree in Wheeling West Virginia. I dedicate this page to those who made sacrifices and traveled the country to share their music.
