After performing for many years at weddings, dinner shows and private parties, she decided it was time to take her career to the next level. Due to a large volume of requests, she knew it was time to pursue the idea of recording a CD. Her long awaited dream began to develop in September of 2002 when she received a call from a Nashville producer of Foxfire Records. Michelle soon learned that a Rhoade Island radio disc jockey and good friend had submitted her promo CD to the Tennessee recording studio. The producer immediately liked what he heard and she was officially signed onto the label in early 2003. April 2004, the first single, “Definite Maybe”, was released to over 8000 radio stations across the United States and overseas. Only two weeks after the release, the song charted at number 40 and has been on a steady climb up the charts each week quickly working its way to the top ten. Iowa Traditional Magazine editor, Bill Everhart, in reviewing Michelle’s new CD compared her with Wynonna Judd in an article published in the April 2004 issue of the magazine

October 2007 I look back and am amazed of where things are now. I appear on a few more TV shows in Nashville~ completed an all original 14 song CD released early 2007 which can be purchased on my myspace. Am now with Stardust Records in Nashville and very fortunate to be on radio here in America and Overseas and charting very well. I am on the road more and looking forward to more dates. I was invited and sponsored to join R.O.P.E. an orginization originating with Nashvilles country music legends ~musicians ~ promoters and country music fans. I still have a hard time with autographs ~ I find it utterly amazing people would want one... there is no money in the bank :)

Michelle Rae would also like to give Thanks and Praise to Jesus Christ for his sacrifice and God for the gift of music, through his divine intervention he has her career planned. As long she hears his whispers she will attain all he has planned.

She Thanks everyone from the bottom of her heart for all of your love and support.

God Bless and Thank You
